Yeah, those were the days
Those days I spent at Grandma Smith’s house
With Zach and Weston and my other cousins
Those days when we played in the hayloft
And
ramped bikes in the ditch
Those days when we pretended to drive the bus
When our feet couldn’t touch the pedals
Those days when grandma would get mad for us eating all her crackers
Even though she really loved every minute of it
Those days when Zach and I would get muddy
And
grandma would strip us naked and hose us off
Those days when all we had to do was have fun
Before homework and sports and girls
Those days when we made forts in the bushes
So
we could silently attack our sisters
Those days are gone now
And
so is grandma
Now all we have left are memories
